The reason why the economic high rising is the based on the internet business (dot com people) but there are many slow food, organic food restaurant and cafe in San Francisco and Bay Area. They are good cooks and good food, and relatively expensive. Poor people cannot afford...
But they are on different local and international magazines and other media, sometime they import new branches in other cities in the US and other countries like in Tokyo Blue Bottle cafe.
Not only if it is affecting in San Francisco and Bay Area, for organic food restaurants, they tend to use food from farmer's market or individual farmers around the area. California is actually dry state, sunny and no rain, if farmer quits, they are more and more desert. So having many restaurants in the city make more farmers or individuals do farming and cooking their own food. So I think over all it will have a good effect. In my opinion.
