Trip to Sonoma Downtown Sonoma Nov 11th
Continue from Marin Headlands...
We gave up on visiting art center, and headed to her house.
After a while took a rest at her house having some lunch, we went to downtown Sonoma.
It is expensive touristy shopping town but we enjoyed window shopping of some art store, historical buildings. Especially we loved the stores that had painting and furniture.
I told my friend that there is a train museum and wanted to visit. It was long time ago but I remember last time I took Napa Valley tour and stopped at downtown Sonoma and I used to walk to the train museum myself. My friend moved to Sonoma this year, so she did not know. She did not believe that there is so we went to the Visitor Center and asked about it. And the guide man said, yes there is, so I asked for the map and direction. My friend finally got very curious about the place too so we walked together. Actually it is behind all the shopping place behind the parking lot and there are trees lining up very nice, so she liked the landscape. She said she wanted to paint there.
I took photos of the train. I think I will paint the train. Off course the museum was close for the holiday too, but now I had a reason to come back again.
My friend talked about the founder of the Sonoma whose name is General Vallejo. His house and his daughter house is remained and I stopped at his daughter’s house which is now wedding ceremony house.

Downtown was nice but the area of my friend's house and her interior was very nice.
My friend is an artist and art teacher so there are many paintings on the wall of every house and she has a nice studio with a nice drawing table and lots of paintings and art books.
I brought a sushi ingredients and me and her husband made dinner together while my friend, Camille was working. We have very nice quiet but fun talk at the dinner table. I had relax and fun night out of busy, city of San Francisco.
After dinner they made a bed with the fold sofa and they put mattress and blanket. And they put curtain at the large window even it is their back yard so we have no worry for anybody coming in or looking in, but we were joking like a maybe squirrel would come in to say "hi" in the morning.
I had a nice shower at night and very quiet evening...
Next morning, my friend went out for her stuff, so I woke up slow and had own breakfast before we heading back to the city. I really enjoyed spending time with them and I hope to be back to Sonoma and see more view there.
