Visiting SCRAP SF Nov 7th

I visited SCRAP San Francisco on Nov 7th. 
SCRAP (Scrounger’s Center for Reusable Art Parts) 
It is a NPO resource place for recycle materials for artists and all people use for making art and craft which founded in 1976. First idea was to collect materials to provide art supplies to pubic schools in San Francisco. They get donation from public places and individual and sort all things out. They have workshops that used materials at the shop to make handcrafts on weekend.

I was interested in running art space like that so I made an appointment and asked to do the tour with the staff.

11月7日、SCRAPというアートやクラフトのためのリサイクルセンターに行ってきました。
1976年に設立されたこのNPOの施設はサンフランシスコの公立学校に美術の道具を提供するために創設されました。現在では寄付金や寄付で集められたリサイクルの品々をアーチストや様々な人が物色しにやってきます。週末には施設にある素材を使ってクラフトを作るワークショップもあったりして楽しそうです。^^

なんとなくですが、こんなリサイクルアートの施設を作ってみたいと言う夢もあるので、アポイントをとって、取材と言うか、スタッフの方に施設を案内してもらい、いろいろと説明をしてもらいました。
親切に私のアホな質問にもいろいろとフレンドリーに答えてくれたので嬉しかったです！！
